An Analytical Study on the Responses of Journalism Concerning the Medical Services

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was aimed at a measurement of the interest of the people and medical professinals on the problemwhich were caused by medical services in the daily papers or the medical. ´newspapers.
The collected materials for this study were the Chosen Ilbo, the Hankook Ilbo, the Dong-A Ilbo, and the Joung-ang Daily News (from 1990.1.1-1992.12.31)
And the author also collected the materials from the Medical papers (The Korean M.D. News, The R.M.A. News, The Who Sang Shinbo) in the same period.
The articles on the medical services of the above papers were collected on analyzed into the types.
The results obtained were as follows
1. The order of carrying, the articles on the medical services in the paper was Medical wrong doing, Unjustice (30.3%), Medical Ethics (19.2%), Medical dispute (14.0%) and AIDS (12.3%) respectively.
2. The order of carrying the articles on the medical services in the medical papers was Medical dispute (28.4%), Medical Ethics (16.3%), Medical wrong doing, Unjustice (15.5%) and Brain death respectively.
